about georgia waterfalls

Blah blah blah blah blah

In Georgia the majority of waterfalls are located in the northern half of the state. Of these most are found about an hour north of Atlanta in the north Georgia mountains. Many can be found just off a paved road, while others take a several mile hike into the woods to discover.

Several of the largest waterfalls are within State Parks, like Cloudland Canyon or Amicolola Falls. At these locations you will not be alone in experiencing these places. Other locations you'll find much more remote, like the waterfalls in the Three Forks area east and north of Clayton,GA.

There are over a 150 waterfalls in the state that the Database is aware of. Most are publicly accessible, but a number are on private land. So, please be respectful when visiting any of these wonderful places.
